This research, case is a listed company dedicated to the production and design of electronic components related to the network, over the years, relying on supply chain management, business services and a high degree of central staff to maintain the company's competitive advantage and create high profits. But in the face of China's competitors, how the case companies through the business model of innovation to enhance the company's competitive advantage, is an important issue cannot be avoided.
This study explores the implications of the three-step problem of "business situation, problem discovery, problem solving," and explains the meaning of business model innovation, and through the business model canvas of this tool, through the case study method and the depth of the case company high-level managers Interviews, to specify how the case companies in business model innovation.
The main findings of this study are as follows:
I. The business model canvas can be a complete description of the case of the business situation, and found its competitive advantage is mainly one of the three elements: 1. Key Partnerships: parts of the former processing and cooperation suppliers integration; 2. Value Proposition: business services, will be customized products in all aspects of the yield to achieve the ultimate; 3. Key Resources: higher centripetal force of the staff.
II. With the discussion of the nine elements of the business model canvas, we can summarize the three main firms facing the case of the problem: 1. Customer Segments: Europe and the United States market share have reached 80%, growth is limited; existing European and American customers of the revenue began to shrink; 2. Customer Relationships: China's domestic competitors rise, relying on its low-cost advantage; 3. Cost Structure: labor costs rise.
III. Through the business model canvas nine elements of the view, we can sum up the case of the company's five main solutions: 1. Value Proposition: plans to provide customers in the future, products of the overall solution services; 2. Customer Segments: the development of new markets 3. Channels: access to the use of existing manufacturers to sell around the relevant, important products; 4. Key Partnerships: the establishment of new business partners, the implementation of the South Korean pathway through the establishment of the platform, and then extend to Japan; 5. Cost Structure: the implementation of automation to solve the problem of rising labor costs.
