Balanced Scorecard has been widely applied in strategic management and performance assessments, and has brought out great achievements. However, not many nonprofit organizations are using this system as a tool; nor have they established a standardized performance measurement.
This research aims to offer an effective assessment through the review of related articles.
Three main purposes of this study:
Ⅰ.Analyze the performance of an organization using the four structural indicators of
Balanced Scorecard.
Ⅱ. Compare the collected theoretical indicators with those actually used at this particular organization to propose improvement tactics based on the analysis on indicator comparisons.
Ⅲ. The results can provide a reference source for other similar nonprofit organizations.
Three important results of this study:
Ⅰ. Applying the indicators from the financial, customer, internal process, learning and growth aspects on the data collected from a particular elderly center.
Ⅱ. Increasing the application of Balanced Scorecard on a variety of performance assessments shall benefit the operations management of organizations.
Ⅲ.Developing reasonable financial evaluation indicators shall have positive guiding
impact on sustainable operation of nonprofit organizations.
