A qualitative method with semi-structured interview was adopted to collect data from four career women of different family structures. The data was analyzed from a narrative point of view. This study offers results as follows: 1. Conflict of time allocation and housework Many studies resulted the fact that the main life stress faced by career women is time limit. Endless housework is also the pressure for career women in this study. The solution of balancing work and family is making good use of family support system. 2. Work and economic pressure Most mothers choose to take care of their families by quitting or changing jobs. However, jobs are not completely negative effects for career women. For them, the reasons of keeping working are: increasing income, extending self value and gaining sense of accomplishment. 3. Parenting problems Unlike other career wormen who feel guilt or shame for not taking care of their children and family, all of the mothers in this study can balance well between parenting and working to strengthen parent-child relationships. Based on these results, some recommendations are proposed for career women, family education, enterprises and government, and future researchers in the hope that the career women can gain more attention and help on the way of completing motherhood.
