Summary: | 碩士 === 僑光科技大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 105 === Youth Development of Administration (YDA) has been dedicated to promoting career guidance within university for quite some time. By career counseling, making university students are able to put what they have learned into practice. In order to implement career guidance, YDA held ‘’Promoting Career Guidance within University’’ in recent years. This research takes two years to investigate how YDA subsidize the universities to carry out the project of career counseling and the effectiveness analysis about this project with the example of Overseas Chinese University. Overseas Chinese University received the subsidy from YDA from 2015 to 2016. During the second academic year of 2015 and in 2016, the Overseas Chinese University held the first career-counseling project. The topic of career guidance was “Enhancing the abilities of business services to prepare for the future career”, and the next year, it held the second career counseling project- “Enhancing the presentation skills of workplace”. These projects are divided into four parts including the lecture, the experience of workplace, the camp and the competition. We chose the students, the teachers and the career counselors who took part in these projects to do the questionnaires.
The results of the research show that: (1) the overall satisfaction of the project reaches to 88.28%. (2) the index of students who joined the career counseling project felt it truly helpful reaches to 87.35%. (3) the index of teachers or the career counselors who joined the career counseling project felt it is helpful to enhance their abilities to do the career counseling or to promote the career counseling projects reaches to 90.85%.
From this study, almost 90% of the staff shows their affirmation for the career-counseling project. Moreover, 87.35% of the students consider these projects which are held by Overseas Chinese University is really helpful for them to choose their future career. Therefore, there are brilliant achievements for the project of “Promoting Career Guidance within University” from the YDA sponsor.
