We use absorption method to removal pollutant, and researchers try to find more efficient solution at the same time. Photocatalytic degradation is a useful method to remove pollutant, so development of Photocatalytic degradation materials is an important issue. Composite metal oxides is one of Photocatalytic degradation materials, and the study was identified the potential of Fe2O3/MoO3. First, ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate under microwave-assisted heat treatment was used as an initiator to react with nitric acid to synthesize h-MoO3 and -MoO3. Then, the Molybdenum trioxide reacted with different amounts of Iron nitrate. And, calcination at 400℃. The product were all the -MoO3, but the morphology one is hexagonal rod another one is belt. These products were tested using an X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscopy, micro-Raman spectroscopy, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. Finally, all the molybdenum oxide products were used to photo-degradation of methylene blue under the 420 nm visible light. As the result, the Fe2O3/MoO3 can improve the life of electron-hole pair, and the electron had reacted with H2O2 to form •OH, which can degradation of methylene blue.
