To achieve short length of each series transmission line, high characteristic impedance may be needed. However, high impedance line is usually difficult to be realized in microstrip line form. To relax the realization problem of high impedance line, the proposed dividers use T- or π-shaped defected ground structure transformers to reach impedance match and isolation requirement.
