Heat treatment technology for oil-contaminated site is widely used. But, after the heat treatment, soil physical and chemical properties have been subject to a certain degree of change. Before re-use, it is necessary to understand the permeability and mechanical properties of the changes. In this study, experimental samples were add oils to soil from the Kaohsiung refinery area to investigate the removal rate of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs) by thermal desorption and incineration. The soil physical properties, water permeability and mechanical properties of the soil before and after the heat treatment were compared. The results of this study are summarized as follows: (1)The results of the sieve analysis show that the soil particles after the heat treatment become finer; (2) In the burning reduction test, the heat treatment with 900 ℃ removes THP more than 90% (3) According to the results of the direct shear test, the friction angle (φ) increases with the removal rate increase. (4) The hydraulic test shows that when the removal rate increase, the permeability coefficient raised. After the heat treatment, the oil concentration of high permeability is greater than the low oil concentration. Weng, Meng-Chia 翁孟嘉 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 93 zh-TW
