Based on the calculated ratio of normalized numerical value, the paper evaluates the mutual influence at values 0~4 among different functional areas in order to replace the conventional questionnaires for expert opinions. After that, according to modified DEMATEL algorithmic steps, general relational influence matrix, direct/indirect relationship diagram and the causal diagram between (D+R) value and (D-R) value can be found. The causal diagram between (D+R) value and (D-R) value can help judge the mutual influence among different functional areas of LED projection light. The paper also analyzes the functional life span of LED projection light patents and the functional life cycle of LED projection light patents. The paper conducts merged analysis of DEMATEL causal diagram of different functional areas, DEMATEL causal diagram of different technical areas, activity trend chart of functions, functional life span of patents, and functional life cycle of patents. After collecting the related patents of LED stage light, the paper uses term and word segmentation system to calculate the normalized numerical values of key technical words, part/component words and functional words of the related patents, analyzes and summarizes the groups of technical words and part/component words in the first-layer technique category, defines the second-layer technique category and function category of the first-layer technique category, and further establishes a technical/functional matrix of LED stage light.
After that, taking LED stage light as a carrier, the paper also calculates the ratio of normalized numerical values of patents’ technical words with repeated definitions or the same definition in a functional area and another functional area in the related functional area of LED stage light. Applying modified DEMATEL method, the paper evaluates the mutual influence at values 0~4 among different technical areas. Furthermore, the paper makes calculation and achieves general relational influence matrix, direct/indirect relationship diagram and the causal diagram between (D+R) value and (D-R) value, and then judges the mutual influence among different technical areas of LED stage light. The paper also combines improved cosine similarity with probability method to differentiate the patent category of the newly added patent of LED stage light. After using improved cosine similarity for screening, the paper uses probability method to calculate which technical or functional category the patent may belong to. Finally, the paper proposes that through merged analysis of DEMATEL causal diagrams, activity trend chart of functions, functional life span of patents and functional life cycle of patents, the development room for the functional area-related patents of LED stage light can be explored. The paper also conducts LED stage light’s IPC analysis, inventor analysis, different companies’ core competitiveness analysis, and analysis on activity trend chart of functions. Results of the above analyses can be a reference for enterprises and engineers in producing new patents. In addition, enterprises are also able to know the core competitiveness of their competitors.
