The front stage is a full-bridge interleaved SRC circuit with series-connected configuration at input side. It can reduce the voltage stresses on power switches, raise the efficiency and achieve galvanic isolation between input and output. An interleaved buck converter is used to achieve low output ripple and provide a stable output voltage. Finally, a 15 kW battery charger is implemented and tested. The experimental results are shown to verify the feasibility of the proposed charger system. A 92 % efficiency is achieved by the studied two-stage circuit under 760 V input and 48 V output voltage condition, and the peak efficiency can be up to 94.9 %.
