| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 建築系 === 105 === The development of high-density urbanization in the world has caused the lack of urban residents living environment and the decline in quality of environment. Public open space as the main constituent space of the city carries the social culture and the public life of the city. As for high-density city, the environment and activities in public open space are more influential. Macao is a typical high-density city in Asia and the public open space in Macao has its research value. The study place is based on the Areia Preta Urban Park, which is the main municipal park in northern district (Nossa Senhora de fatima) in Macao. This study investigated the types, users and status of activities in public open space in high-density city and explored physical environmental conditions for supporting the activities in public open space, from the point of environmental behavior research by using the actual use status survey and interview questionnaires.
The park is an important daily life place for high-density urban residents. This study summarizes the uses of Jardim Areia Preta Park, which can be divided into three categories: leisure and entertainment, sport and social activities. In terms of activity time, sports activities in the park are concentrated in the morning and have a clear organization and a fixed habit; leisure and entertainment activities are mostly spontaneous and randomly formed recreational activities; social activities are whole day observable activities. The park has plenty of recreational facilities and a variety of activities to provide a variety of activities for all ages. In addition, in terms of space, the visual continuity is strong, the space type is complete, the space is defined clearly, the good visual prospect, the appropriate facilities, the shade or the roof cover, the ground mining hard pavement, the water scene facilities and so on, are conducive to the diversity of activities in public open space.
