Combining with the use of Carl Jung's theories on psycho-analysis, collective unconsciousness, mandala meditation, mysticism, tarot cards arrangements (constellation, posture, human figures, animals, plants, outfits and other objects and backgrounds), it sets out to consider the basic ingredients of artistic creation. In regard to creative theories, the research investigates Louis Wain's psychedelic imagery, Adolf Wölfli's primitivism, Especially, the author is fascinated with Carl Jung's The Red Book and its creation process. From 1914 to 1930, Jung continuously documented the narratives in it, reflecting a period of total hardship and mental torment, However, the book is so beautifully presented with Gothic fonts and vmbolic imagery that the feelings and emotions within Jung can be thoroughly conveyed to the readers, thus bearing comforting and healing effects. Furthermore, the author mainly use the art works that were created from 2013 to 2017 in order to summarize what conditions are necessary for the creation, be it metaphors, self-reflection, imagery transformed into symbolic languages. They are arguably the instruments to enable the artist to feel their unconsciousness, thus making judgments that are directly affected by thoughts, feelings, instincts. They are true to their style of documentation of what is in the artist's mind. The self-exploration is thus realized. Through many phases of creation and examination, the author was finally able to interpret the real meanings in relation to the collective unconsciousness the imagery and colors within the art works contained in the research bear. As a result, the author can obtain a new insight into the appropriate perspective and establish unique creative symbolism and artistic style. CHIANG,LI-HUA 姜麗華 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 90 zh-TW |
