Also, the detection performance is a crucial issue in Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH). However, the performance of preamble detection in correlation peak detection (CPD) algorithm is sensitive with the channel model. When Rayleigh fading channel is adopted, the performance of CPD receiver degrades. In this thesis, based on the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT) principle and the Neyman Pearson (NP) criterion , the correlation norm detection (CND) algorithm is proposed. It is shown that the proposed method provides a robust performance in the preamble detection.
