This work is related to identify the correct arrival time of earthquake sensors. The arrival time of sensors may be incorrect due to some uncertainties. This research is proposed to identify the sensors with incorrect arrival time by (1) dividing sensors into several groups, (2) using the predicted hypocenter of each group to identify possible sensors with incorrect arrival time to update error count, and (3) finding the greater counts after update finished. Without the impact of the incorrect arrival time, the locating system can locate a hypocenter more accurately. Experiment results indicate that the proposed earthquake locating algorithm can identify the sensors with incorrect arrival time and thus improve the locating accuracy.
