Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊工程學研究所 === 105 === Recently, home-care robots get involved in human''s life, and we expect robots are capable of providing various services to make human more convenient. As the elderly population grows rapidly, the trend causes the development of the elderly care. One of the inconvenience for the elderly is that memory decreasing. However, in recent robotic research, the memory aid systems for robots are seldom discussed. In this work, the retrospective and prospective memory aid robot system is proposed. Retrospective memory aid helps users recall the memory when users forget, like "Who is Mr.Wang?" or "What did I do last weekend?". A memory-aid robot should analyze the past experience and give the short and precise memory hints to make users recall instead of describing all the details. Prospective memory aid provides the service that reminds users of the scheduled tasks effectively. It can hint the information that the user often forgets or the relevant objects required in scheduled tasks. This work is composed of the memory architecture, the method to encoding and storing information, and the two memory services we just mentioned. The proposed system has been tested in simulations and on a real robot. The result shows that the robot is capable of connecting the forgotten memory with the remembered memory efficiently.
