Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 經濟學研究所 === 105 === We investigate Taiwan’s knowledge-intensive service firms from 2001 to 2011 by using the census dataset. It will be divided into four industries, Financial and Insurance Activities, Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities, and Human Health Activities, etc. We adopted the EG Index and NNh method aiming to understand the relationship between the industrial agglomeration and firm’s productivity. Finally, we fit two regression models of labor productivity as dependent variable with the 2SLS and OLS method. Empirical results show that the industrial agglomeration of Financial and Insurance Activities has negative effects on firm productivity, while the industrial agglomeration of Professional, Scientific and Technical Activities, and Human Health Activities has positive effects on firm productivity. Higher Average employee salary, smaller size of factories are significantly resulted in higher firm productivity.
