Some researchers focus on its advantage, while some worry it leads to a moral crisis. The study aims to understand how Taiwanese journalists use Facebook to perform their professional image and what they think about the media organization that pressures employees for proper behavior in social media. Eleven journalists were interviewed. It was found that: 1) When using Facebook, some identify what and where they work and take friends as readers or audience before making a post. 2) With the boundary between journalists and members of pubic blurred, one-way communication has been replaced by dialogues or networks. 3) Old values are still practiced with an exception of ‘objectivity’ as users are encouraged to reveal themselves on social media. 4) Employers’ online behavior can raise concerns in organizations that cited its professional reputation as a reason. However, organizational image is not top concern for informants, who say striking a balance in accordance with professional morality is important, but that is not a one-size fits all approach. 洪貞玲 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 212 zh-TW
