Therefore, we would understand the reading comprehension outcomes of the students after adopting the summarizing strategies teaching, and clarify the difficulties and solutions while fulfilling this kind of teaching. Finally, we could infer about the findings, suggestions, evaluations and reflections. Grade-6 students attending the Yang Class at the Zuo-An Elementary School participated in summarizing strategies teaching curriculum for 8 weeks. In this study, the action research conducted in this study comprised the following course of actions: 1. Drawing up the proposal of summarizing strategies teaching courses, establishing the correct teaching objectives and raising a specific proposal through revises of partners in research. 2. Keeping the courses step by step, students could practice and make perfect. Exercising the problem-based teaching and enhancing the concept of summarization, we would be aware of the reviews and viewpoints of the students after their sharing. 3. According to the results of the proposal of summarizing strategies teaching, the students have made great progress in the summarization ability and reading comprehension ability.
