| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育學系課程與教學碩士班 === 105 === The purpose of this study is to understand the views of homosexual Christians on Bible-related scripture towards the thoughts of argument against homosexual, and to explore the difficulties and solutions of the interaction between homosexual Christians and non-homosexual Christians.
In the research, we used the qualitative study of the case study method to semi-structured interviews as the main research tool, supplemented by file analysis and other methods to collect research data of knowing the experience about homosexual Christians in the church. The significant results are collected by using the snowball sampling, a non-probability sampling technique to select five homosexual Christian for the interviews.
In the study, homosexual Christians tend to use “Contextualism” to explain the perceptions on homosexual by using relevant scriptures in the Bible. The perceptions of non-homosexual Christians on homosexual are being divided into four categories: ignorance of the Bible, original sin, rigid gender roles, and inappropriate connections. The situation of interaction with other believers depends on whether the church they are engaged in is a homosexual-friendly church or not. Therefore, when homosexual Christian confronted with predicament, there are three types of behaviors. The first type is &auot;active discussion&auot;, the second type is &auot;negative non-response&auot;, and the third type is &auot;active lobbying counterattack.&auot;
A homosexual-friendly church can be a great help to the homosexual Christians, because it will make the homosexual Christians more self-aware and more active in confronted of their predicament. If the homosexual Christian joined a non-homosexual friendly church, some may even doubt their beliefs and intend to renounce the church.
