Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 104 === This study conducts a research into the viewpoint of educate givers on their job duties and the overall preschool learning environment in public kindergarten after the implementation of conformity of kindergarten and daycare centre. We adopted qualitative research as the main method to analyse educare givers in three different types of preschools, including directors, teachers and educare givers in kindergarten and also in elementary school kindergarten. Based on the analysis and the arrangement of interview, we discovered that there is a significant impact of the conformity of kindergarten and daycare centre on these three different types of public kindergartens. Therefore, we would like to provide this result to the educare givers in the competent authority and public kindergartens as well. This study concludes as follows:
1. The age of children dropped to the age of two after the enactment of conformity of kindergarten and daycare centre, which makes teachers in public kindergarten start worrying that the kids learning problems might be caused due to mixed-age class teaching.
2. In response to the policy of conformity of kindergarten and daycare centre, the kindergarten adjusts the age of children to the age of three. Teachers strongly believe that we shall pay more attention on the child care than the education in class.
3. When a kindergarten places a high value on early childhood education and early childhood care, it is most likely depending on whether the principal possesses the early childhood education background or not.
4. All the educare givers assume that after-school program doesn’t help to develop children’s mental and physical health. The best way to meet their needs is to let them go back to their house with their families instead of staying in the kindergarten for a long period of time.
In the end, we would like to provide suggestions about future researches to the competent authority and the public kindergarten according to the conclusions reached in this study.
