Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 進修部暑期國語文補救教學碩士班 === 104 === This study intends to develop materials of self-questioning strategy using story texts for fifth graders. Using self-questioning strategies, students can learn actively by exploring problems, hence boosting reading comprehension and learning ability. The materials contain texts of four levels of questioning skills. Teaching activities use questioning strategies such as “story structure,” “main idea,” and “topic sentence” to help students do self-questioning. Teachers can guide students regarding self-questioning strategies by teacher’s manual while students can learn different levels of questioning methods, monitoring their learning progress by learning manual. Thus, students become the main body of learning. The research results include: (1) one textbook, containing four lessons of story texts (2) one teacher’s manual, including four lessons of teaching activity design using self-questioning strategies (3) one learning manual, including four lessons of self-questioning strategy worksheets.
