With growing Cross-strait Exchanges, Taiwanese have opportunities to visit China with some activities, such as business,employment,study,tourism,visiting relatives. Contacts between the two sides of the strait are rising continuously because of the unofficial activities. Taiwan and China were divided over the years. " Unification and Independence " are at the core of the political disputes between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. This study provides new methods of measurement, which come from the concept of " social contact theory " and " linkage community ", to explain the association with the Taiwanese unification-independence stances. This study reveals that People had experiences of studying in China, they have changed their attitude toward unification. The results of the model show that gender,age,occupation,party identification and ethnic identity are important factors influencing Taiwanese unification-independence stances.
