Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 自然資源與環境管理研究所 === 105 === Since 2001 Taiwan has implemented the energy consumption label to achieve the goals of saving energy and reducing carbon dioxide emission. In order to further create energy-efficient environment and encourage people to buy high energy efficienty products, in 2010 the Bureau of Energy implemented minimum energy performance standards and energy efficiency label compulsively. These policies further revealed the information about energy consumption appliances, making it easier for consumers to selectively purchase high energy-efficient products. In order to design a choice experiment questionnaire to investigate Taipei City residents’ preference for purchasing electronic appliances (air-conditioner, dehumidifier and refrigerator), this study conducted a market survey to collect information such as price, energy-efficiency labeling, product design, and brand for appliances. Then, an in-person interview is conducted to invstigate people’s recognition of the energy labeling content. Through stratified sampling in five districts in Taipei City, 201 valid samples were collected. The research results showed that 63.2% correspondents knew the energy-efficient labeling. Regarding efficiency labeling, only information of 1-5 energy-efficiency level significantly help people to purchase appliciance, and more than 90% respondents stated there is need for government to improve labeling content, imclude terminology simplifying, turning electricity consumption into cost saving, and highlighting the important information. Furthermore, the results of conjoint analysis show the preference for appliance purchasing are as following, foreign bands were preferred over domestic brands, smaller capacity and size were preferred over larger capacity and size, lower price were preferred over higher price, and alliances with better energy saving feature were overall preferred.
