Furthermore, since OEM is the primary operation model for the aforementioned industry, the effective control of production cost is crucial for staying competitive. For these reasons, the effective incorporation of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) will become an important indicator for manufacturing management, and the collection of accurate fundamental information will be crucial for success. With these idea in mind, the subject of this study integrated the MES system. The subject hoped that through the collection of production information such as man hour and machine hours, along with the cooperation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, it can effective raise productivity while lower production cost. During process of integrating MES, the ability to incorporate data into production process and to supply production data to the management level is important, for they can assist the control of marginal production cost and other related decision makings. This study uses data collected by the subject’s MES system to plan the implementation of systems designed for quality control management and human resource management. It is hoped that through the integration of practical project, one could evaluate the effectiveness of integrating information system, and used it to control marginal cost, increase productivity, improve production quality, and elevate the competitiveness of the organization. This study focusses on the improvement production marginal cost of an electronic OEM, who incorporated the MES system into existing production information management system. Specifically, the study looks into how the incorporation of production data on the CNC processing production line, plastic injection molding production line, and the assembly line, could be used a cause analysis of marginal production cost.
