However, most of the prisoners are school dropouts and from the low income families. With the stereotype of ex-prisoner without decent diploma, they tend to be ignored, phased out, and end up with recommitting crimes. It is a big plus for prisoners to adapt to their new life, if they can have effective skill training before going back to society. Therefore, proper skill training programs are important for prisoners. Using variation analyses and dummy variable regression analyses, this thesis studies 300 questionnaires from the male prisoners attending the skill programs in Taoyuan prison, Taichung prison and Kaoshiung second prison. Of the 285 return questionnaires, 256 are effective. The results show 1. The variation between the number of prisoner commitments in crimes and number of hours, satisfaction for attending skill programs, social control-classmate relationship and effectiveness of correction treatments are statistical significant. 2. The variation between the occupancy of prisoner prior entering the prison and the effectiveness of increasing knowledge correction treatments is statistical significant. 3. The satisfaction from attending skill classes and social control are positive correlated with the effectiveness of correction treatments. 4. The explanation and forecasting power of family supports, classmate relationship, satisfaction from the contents and the usefulness of skill training programs on the effectiveness of improving skills and increasing knowledge are statistical significant. Based on the study results, this thesis suggests that 1. Cooperate with job training academics to develop a professional skill training module. 2. Refer to the Japanese Law of Inmate Correction Treatments to develop new regulations. 3. Develop a cyber job placement platform for ex-prisoners. 4. Increasing the effectiveness of correction treatments with the help of family supports. SHEU, CHUEN-JIM 許春金 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 125 zh-TW
