Action Research on Applying Cooperative Learning Strategy to Promote Children’s Social Skills in the Preschool

碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育學系教育創新與評鑑碩士班在職專班 === 105 === This study aims to explore the use of Learning Together for the 5-year -old children, by the thematic teaching, the development in the instructional project of suitable for preschool to learn about listening and expression of social skills, in order to understand the 5-year -old children about listening and expression of social skills such as changes in the situation, and reflection of cooperative learning to promote researcher’s professional development. To achieve the above research objectives, researcher uses action research and develops cooperative learning project that include " The instructional project of social skills " and "Learning Social Skills Teaching Project from Cooperation ", teaching project before two weeks of " The instructional project of social skills " Learning about listening and expression of social skills, and then " Learning Social Skills Teaching Project from Cooperation ", an action research was conducted from March 7, 2017 to April 20, 2017, a total of seven weeks, twenty-one teaching activities. To analyze the social skills of the 5-year -old children, quantitative data were collected through pre- and post- test of teachers’ rating scale in social skills, and qualitative data were collected through researcher’ teaching and reflection diary, teachers’ observation record form, the collaborative researcher’ interview records, the 5-year -old children’ work sheets, feedback list by parents, and course records. Results were revealed as following: 1. The development of suitable for the 5-year -old children in the preschool " Learning Social Skills Teaching Project from Cooperation ", using " Learning Together " of the teaching process for the six steps appropriate. 2. The results found that the 5-year -old children about listening and expression of social skills has improved more than before the implementation of the teaching project (p = .000). 3. The researcher had reflections and growth in cooperative learning and teaching through the action research.
