Three elements of measurement were included in the survey: The concept of having a good ending of the life, the understanding of long term care, and the planning of retirement. This research is to understand how the answers from the respondents correspond in the three elements and to explore the related factors. The results show that the responds to the three elements vary due to different background of the respondents. The answers from male and female respondents are very different: While females care about if they die peacefully, males care more about promoting long term care as well as health maintenance and entertainment in their retirement plans. The older the respondents, the more they focus on the arrangement of their living and entertainment. The higher education the respondents received, the less likely the concept of “dying without knowing”, “euthanasia”, and “sudden death” are accepted. Salesmen/saleswomen tend to have a better understanding of promoting long term care, living arrangements, financial planning, entertainment, and social responsibilities. Senior staff pays more attention on health maintenance and living arrangements. Respondents whose family income is in the mid level agree more on promoting concepts, health maintenance, living arrangements, financial planning, entertainment, and social responsibilities than in the fair level. Married respondents care more about "inward expectation", "risk of disability". Religious respondents believe in freedom and a peaceful ending of their lives. Among these three elements of measurement, apart from "exonerating from pain" and " cognition of disability risk ";" cognition of long-term care "and" living arrangements ", " financial planning ", " entertainment " ; "physical and mental comfort" , " health maintenance ", " financial planning ", " entertainment "; " exonerating from pain " ,"health maintenance", "economic plan", "leisure and entertainment"; The "exonerating from pain" and "healthy maintenance",the rest items are related. At the end of this study, different plans for the respondents with different background and their current status will be provided as well as the future suggestions.
