It focuses on the conceptions, strategies, challenges and their ways to overcome, and impacts of social justice leadership of Principle P1 and Principle P2. An elementary school (the Shan-Lin elementary school, SLES) and a primary and secondary school (the Sheng-Tai Primary and secondary school, STPSS) in Yunlin County, leading by P1, and an elementary school (the Cao-Di elementary school, CDES) in Yunlin County, leading by P2, were the targets of case study. Research methods included interviews, observations, and documents analysis. Sixteen interviewees included the principals, deans and teachers. The findings of this study were as follows: 1. The conceptions about SJL of P1 and P2 included caring disadvantaged students, the view of competence approach, and the concept of holistic education. Another important SJL conception of P1 was community activation. 2. The main strategy about SJL of P1 was developing featured programs, whereas P2 was developing Waldorf education in public school. Other strategies of P1 included assisting the development of community industries and taking care of the needs of medical and lives of residents. 3. The challenges of P1 were teachers, public systems, and resources. P1 adopted communication, teacher professional development, and calling out of resources to overcome those challenges. P2 faced challenges including public systems, parents and community, and he used communication and improving relations with local to overcome. 4. The most obvious impact of SJL of P1 and P2 was saving SLES, STPSS and CDES from being vanished. Other impacts included students progressing, teachers’ concept-changing and community progressing under P1’s SJL, and parents’ concept- changing under P2’s SJL. This study offered enlightenment of principle leadership, principle preparation and further study. SUN, CHIN-LIN 孫志麟 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 141 zh-TW |
