Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 特殊教育學系碩士班 === 105 === The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of using working memory training on working memory and reading comprehension for a forth-grade student with learning disability. This study was conducted by adopting a case-study approach with the data collected from classroom observations, examination, and interviews with teachers. Totally, 9 strategies related to working memory were taught for practicing in 10 week training period. Overall, the findings of this study are listed as the following: (i) Working memory training program had immediate effects on the performance of central executive for the student with learning disability. (ii) Working memory training program evidenced limited progress on the performance of visual-spatial sketchpad for the student with learning disability. (iii) Working memory training program could improve the performance of visual-spatial sketchpad for the student with learning disability. (iv) Working memory training program could enhance inferential comprehension on reading comprehension.
