Judo athletes’ gender ratio in female over male is very few, and even fewer female athletes have become Judo coaches. Those female Judo coaches have achieved to fulfill both the social stereotype to be femininity and the professional appeals in masculinity. The thesis reveals how those female coaches face their contradiction between femininity and masculinity during their lifelong participating in Judo acquiring and Judo coach occupying. The subjects, six female Judo coaches from different schools and institutions were interviewed about the relation between sport profession and their gender. The result shows that the process of training in achieving profession and challenging in physical ability has no different between genders. Female coaches’ masculinity has come from their training and techniques acquiring is doubtless. The priority of female Judo coaches is that their female traits always helping communication in leading teams and overcoming career hurdles. All six female coaches appeal that gender equity curriculum should be blended into traditional Judo teaching and coaching to help gender culture in the sport. Chia-Yao Lee, Ph.
