Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 通訊與導航工程學系 === 105 === Proximity Service (ProSe) which also known as D2D (Device-to-Device) communication is developed by 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). It’s a system allowing each UE (User Equipment) to exchange data directly without BS (Base Station). 3GPP try to improve the communication performance for the UEs in the edge of the BS coverage with the technique of D2D under the E-UTRA (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access).
Before executing ProSe, ProSe Discovery is the first process to find surrounding ProSe-enabled UEs. There are many peer discovery methods discussed in 3GPP, but the disadvantage of all is that the precise locations of the devices are unknown.
Therefore, we propose a method which implement a MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) system, synthesized antenna array for the ProSe Discovery. The configuration of 3D (Three Dimension) location algorithm via the synthesized MUSIC (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) method and the channel delay profile is adapted to complete 3D location of the proximity.
In 2016, there was a 6.6 Rui’s scaled earthquake in southern Taiwan, and caused serious damages. Using the current rescuing technologies, the victims weren’t be rescued until the end of the 72-hour ‘goldenwindow’. However, due to the population of modern mobile handsets, assume that most people always have a mobile phone nearby so that we can use the proposed method to locate the victims by positioning the handset which is already disconnected with BS.
According to the measurement result, compared with the conventional GPS (Global Positioning System) of the mobile phone, the proposed method have better location performance than the GPS. The errors of positioning for the proposed method and GPS are 4.09 m and19.55 m in NLOS (Non-Line of Sight, NLOS) case while in the LOS (Line of Sight, LOS) case, they are 3.65 m and 18.14 m respectively.
