Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 健康促進與衛生教育學系 === 105 === This study aims to explore factors related to smartphone addiction among elementary students in New Taipei City. Students were randomly selected from 13 elementary schools in New Taipei City. A total of 1578 fifth-grade students completed the questionnaire. The results were as follows. 1.About 21% of participant students had smartphone addiction. Students frequently used smartphone video entertainments, while students had middle-high levels of smartphone use risk perception. Participant students reported that parents seldom implemented technical and monitoring mediation, while some parents implemented restrictive mediation. 2.Factors related to smartphone addiction among students included gender, household income, parent-child relationship, smartphone use patterns (e.g., game playing, social networking sites using, instant messaging, video watching), smartphone use risk perception, and parental restrictive mediation. 3.Multivariate results showed that students who had lower household income, had poor parent-child relationship, spent more time playing games/using social networking sites/watching video, had lower parental restrictive mediation were more likely to have smartphone addiction.
