| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣師範大學 === 工業教育學系 === 105 === The profit model of car rental industry has been changing not only because of the fierce competition with new entrants, but also the operational inefficiency in light of the sales channel of used rental cars. Currently there is no industrial standard in regard to the calculation of used car value with proper appraisal methods. The market value of a used car is now determined by each sales channel at their own discretion with their years of trading experiences. Meanwhile, large car rental companies in Taiwan are facing the problem of fleet disposal with significant amounts of vehicles. Therefore, it is quite critical to appraise the value of used cars with accuracy while lowering the human costs on time consuming evaluations.
The purpose of this research aims to construct a simple and easy to use automatic used car appraisal system. The system evaluates the sales price of a used car base on some key factors like mileage, years used…etc., and can provide calculation results to relevant departments and managers faster than before. Moreover, it helps to increase the competitiveness of the car rental company by shorten both the human evaluation and fleet disposal time span. After the system is being constructed, hopefully it would create the opportunity to initiate systemization of operation among other functional departments of a company. This research of automatic used car appraisal system is currently focuses on domestic vehicles. Further research shall include imported and other car models.
