For fulfilling the research purposes, a survey questionnaire was employed to collect the data. The survey sample was 277 employees currently working in service or manufacturing industries in Taiwan. The study employed quantitative research methods. In order to analyze the gathered data, SPSS software was used. The results showed that the training and development positively affects organizational commitment and decreases turnover intentions of the employees. In addition, organizational commitment also has a negative effect on turnover intention and has mediating role in the relationship between training and development and turnover intention. The study concluded that there is a negative relationship between training and development activities and turnover intention, and organizational commitment has mediating effect on this relationship. This study contributes to the literature on training and development, within the Taiwan context, to help facilitate better working arrangement between employees and companies.
