Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 經營與管理高階經營碩士在職專班(EMBA) === 105 === The processing industry in Taiwan has two issues regarding the quality of products: Fierce competition in the cost of products and the lack of the improvement of technical skills among staff. The consequence is that the quality of products cannot be improved, which may result in making products uncompetitive in the international market. Moreover, many companies may be not familiar with using certain tools to improve the efficiency and cost of production. At present, aging of the industry and lack of labor are big problems in Taiwanese industry. Therefore, the two inevitable evolutionary processes: industrial automation and precision, need to be considered for making Taiwanese processing industry sustainable in the international arena. Germany provided Industry 4.0 and that was certainly the new revolution of industry in the world. Although Taiwanese industry cannot fully execute Industry 4.0, it is still possible to upgrade for automation and smart manufacturing. The applicable range of Taiwan “Productivity 4.0” may not just help traditional companies to transform or upgrade, it can extend to machine tool industry, automobile industry, medical industry, and farming, etc. The methodology of this research is to use semi structure interview with target people and collect information provided by case companies. The target people include those who are involved in robot peripheral equipment industry and those who are in charge of relative plan. This study used value chain analysis, Port five force analysis, SWOT, and key successful factory analysis to find out the impact of Industry 4.0 to Taiwanese industry.
