This study is based on multiple cases and treats 2 junior high school performing art teachers with different professional backgrounds as subjects. By interview, class observation and documents, it collects data. After interpretation and analysis, it obtains the following conclusions: 1. Junior high school performing art teachers’ content of pedagogical knowledge (1) Content knowledge dominates pedagogical content knowledge, particularly curriculum development. (2) Personality traits dominate general pedagogic knowledge, particularly general requirements. (3) In all knowledge categories, teaching strategies of pedagogic content knowledge is extremely similar, and knowledge of students has many similarities. 2. Junior high school performing art teachers’ pedagogical action and reasoning process (1) Sufficient “comprehension and transformation” is the base of “instruction and evaluation.” (2) Precise “reflection” results in more pedagogic “new comprehensions.”. 3. Factors of formation of junior high school performing art teachers’ pedagogical knowledge (1) Personal factors is considerably associated with teachers’ t pedagogical knowledge. (2) Current instructional situation significantly influences teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge. Finally, according to research results and findings, this study proposes suggestions for junior high school performing art teachers, teaching training institutes and research subjects and content of the following studies.
