Ninety (N=65) students from a university of technology participated in the study. Thirty-three students were assigned to a the SPOC and Flipped instructional group and the other 32 students were assigned to the controlled group that received traditional lectures. Students received the treatment instruction for ten weeks and were given an achievement test, an assessment of learning attitudes and a survey of learning satisfaction at the end of the experiment. . The main findings are: 1. The experimental group outperformed the control group in learning achievements. 2. Students in the experimental group reported more positive learning attitude on cognition and emotion factor than their counterparts. However, the difference is not significant on behavior factor. Students in the experimental group were satisfied with SPOC and flipped classroom. The researcher provided suggestions for practitioners who are interested in computer-assisted Janpanese instruction especially for Travel and Tourism majors.
