Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 國際專業管理碩士班 === 105 === There is an increasing number of Indian expatriates choosing Taiwan as their work destination and work for many multinational companies (MNCs). As per statistics provided by National Immigration Agency, Taiwan, there is a total increase of 1,289 Indian expatriates from 2013 to 2017 in Taiwan. Those Indian expatriates who choose to continue their stay and work in Taiwan are interviewed and the data was analyzed to understand different motivations influencing their interest to continue to have Taiwan as their work destination, along with different factors which influence their decision and how they influence their decision making. The findings show that Indian expatriates are motivated to work in Taiwan due to the availability and access to latest technology in various electronic, semiconductor and biotechnology industries. Indian expatriates feel connected to Taiwan due to its Asian culture, festive, family values etc., which drives them towards easing adaptation process, though they face certain challenges due to language, education for their children. These challenges can be overcome through organizational support and Taiwan government’s support.
