The study of participative motivation, social support, and self-efficacy about parents’ participation in the parent-child recreational sport in Changhua County

碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 體育學系碩士在職專班 === 105 === This study aims to explore the current situation of parents’ participation in parent-child recreational sport in Changhua as well as the participative motivation, social support, and self-efficacy differences among parents with various backgrounds. The correlations and predictability of participative motivation, social support, and self-efficacy of parents were also discussed. In the study, the questionnaire was used to understand the attitude of parents of kindergartens in Changhua County, with a total of 45 preschools and 665 valid samples retrieved. The research tools were questionnaires used to investigate the motivation, social support and self-efficacy of parental participation in Changhua County. The data collected were analyzed by statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, independent sample T test, single factor variance analysis, Pearson product difference correlation and multiple regression analysis. The findings are as follows: First, cycling, ball sports and running account for most parent-child recreational activities; most of the recreational sports take place in nearby parks, homes and schools. Second, in terms of the motivation of participation, the parent-child need is the most recognized by the parents; in terms of social support, the highest one is family support; in terms of self-efficacy, psychological aspect plays the most important role. Third, there were no significant differences in genders of children in the three factors. There were significant differences in the age of children in the social support. There were no significant differences in the parents’ different educational levels. There were significant differences in the parents' motivations. Fourth, there was a low degree of correlation among parents’ motivation of participation, social support, and self-efficacy. Fifth, it can be effectively predicted among parents’ motivation of participation, social support, self-efficacy.
