碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 美術學系碩士在職專班 === 105 === Nowadays the scholars study in early Taiwanese Popular Songs, they think that the lyrics of songs before World War II are more elegant than the ones today. Besides, there are lot of works of lyricists which were praised highly during the progressive development of the literary and ballad. However, due to the depression under the occupation of Japan and the strict censorship of performing arts which was implemented by the government in the Post-War Era were all the reasons that caused Taiwanese Popular Songs were forced to display another style of fortitude. Therefore, in order to fit the atmosphere of contemporary, the works of lyricists not only reflected the contemporary thoughts, but also showed the feature of the thriving life and tough spirit of the Taiwanese Popular Songs. When tracing back the creations of the lyricists hundred years ago, we can find that the early songwriters also used vocabulary as same as us to sing the touching songs. Besides, the contents of these lyrics display the mood of early life and the expression of feeling at that time. Nowadays, researchers can create and interpret from these elegant lyrics through the experience of their life. This research presents the visual images of the realm of Taiwanese Popular Song lyrics by the means of interpreting the relation of these lyrics and other works, namely, the concept of Intertextuality. Moreover, we can get the inductive meaning from different style of lyrics by means of these illustrations or we can transform the words of lyrics into the illustration by the concept of Intertextuality so as to present another new form of creation from the original realm of lyrics, Completed 16 works.
