Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士在職專班 === 105 === The purpose of this research was to survey on the application of integrated curriculum and workbooks among 400 early childhood settings located in Taichung and Changhua. The participants included 400 parents of five-year-old children of the early childhood settings, which were selected via stratified random sampling. The researcher interviewed each participant with a structured questionnaire. Each parent spent about 10 minutes to identify the textbooks, workbooks and activity schedule of the early childhood setting his or her 5-year-old attended currently. This study described how 400 early childhood settings schedule integration curriculum in the time table, and the textbooks for thematic activities as well as various workbooks provided by the private and public early childhood settings. The finding indicated a moderate positive correlation between the amount of teaching materials or workbooks, that parents were willing to abandon, and how much time arranged by preschool to implement integrated activities. Finally, the specific recommendations according to the research findings, for the parents, top management of preschools, and follow-up researchers, were presented.
