Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 語文教育學系碩博士班 === 105 === In 2006, a collection of bronze vessels was unearthed from Fufeng County of Shaanxi Province, in which two bronze wine vessels with similar pattern and design, the “Fifth Year Diao Sheng Zun”, showed related inscription to the ancient utensils, the “Fifth Year Diao Sheng Gui” and the “Sixth Year Diao Sheng Gui”, that attracted many scholars’ attention. Inscriptions on the three bronzes of Diao Sheng described an event of dealing with servants and land by the Zhao family and the “Fifth Year Diao Sheng Zun”, in timely sequence, was the second vessel of the series. The research used the inscription on the “Fifth Year Diao Sheng Zun” as studying object to contrast with the ancient utensils, the “Fifth Year Diao Sheng Gui” and the “Sixth Year Diao Sheng Gui”, by organizing previous relevant study results and theories on the three bronzes of Diao Sheng. Moreover, six ambiguous characters of the inscription were investigated, including “Hsi”, “Hsun”, “Jao”, “Wen”, “Hu” and “T’ung”, which could then be used within the context to analyze and understand the content of inscription in order to investigate its characteristics and partial conditions of a conservative society at the end of Western Zhou Dynasty.
