Participants consist of 300 junior high school counselors and special education teachers from each area of Taiwan. This study is conducted by employing the questionnaire, “Current Situations and Needs of Competences of School Counselors and Special Education Teachers' s Trans-disciplinary Cooperation in Junior High School.” The data are analyzed through descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA. The results are as follows: 1. The data indicates that 95% of participants (school counselors and special education teachers) has trans-disciplinary cooperation in junior high schools. The frequency of their cooperation is mostly “Once a week”. The reasons of their cooperation are mostly “Client ' s real needs”. The benefits of their cooperation are mostly when they communicate with each other and exchange the relevant information. 2. Regarding the competence needs of school counselors and special education teachers’ trans-disciplinary cooperation in junior high schools, “Professional ability”, “Cooperation ability”, and “The concept of ecological system” are highly needed. The priority of these competences for school counselors and special education teachers is “Cooperation ability”, which is followed by “Professional ability''. “The concept of ecological system” comes after the above-mentioned abilities. 3. There are some differences of competence needs between various backgrounds of school counselors and special education teachers’ trans-disciplinary cooperation in junior high schools. (1) There are differences of competence needs between school counselors and special education teachers. (2) The data indicate significant differences in “Cooperation ability” and “The concept of ecological system” among school counselors, who are working in various school areas. There are no significant differences of competence needs among school counselors’ education backgrounds, school sizes, and working years. (3) The data indicate significant differences in ''Professional ability'' among special education teachers, who have various working years. There are no significant differences of competence needs among special education teachers’ education backgrounds, school areas, and school sizes.
