Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣體育運動大學 === 體育研究所 === 105 === The research subject of this study was a teacher with a long-standing selfless dedication to sports and education, Cai, Chang Gi, who regarded the students as whose own children, performed the school tasks personally, and won the outstanding achievements in the national policies. This study exposed his educational idea and behavioral style behind his story in the school; the school was almost as his home, and he made himself a good example for the followers. The purpose of this study was to understand Cai, Chang Gi's life story and school history, to trace Cai, Chang Gi's teaching in Changhua Senior High School (CHSH), to explore Cai, Chang Gi's working in the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Education, and to analyze Cai, Chang Gi's coaching in the National Taiwan University of Sport (NTUS). This study adopted the methods of literature analysis and interviews to study. The relevant information of the literature was collected from some books, journals, and newspapers. The interviews and follow-up data records and collation had been implementation after the preparation and revision of the topics. The conclusions are as follows: 1. Cai, Chang Gi had a strong desire to advance in his life career and the personal characteristics: rigorous work and dexterity of skills; his student period: outstanding performance and excellent physical fitness; after graduation, firstly working in CHSH, secondly in the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Education, and then in NTUS. 2. In the memories of the students of the CHSH, Cai, Chang Gi was not only a proficient and all-round sports teacher, but also a best coach to care for the players, and even the dean of student affairs who protected the students wholeheartedly. 3. During the more than ten years of working in the Department of Physical Education, he spared no effort in promoting sports and became the best assistant to the chiefs; in the eyes of the subordinates, he was a public servant dedicated his whole life; in the hearts of the athletes, he was the pilot leader of sports policy. 4. During his working in the NTUS, he had rigorous researching, determined reforming, and clear objectives; when he was the mentor, he first created the morning exercise and was like a serious teacher and devoted mother; when he was the principal of the school, he made the gold medal plan of National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (NIAG), and was industrious and frugal to found the foundation; he also upgraded the hardware, software and equipment for striving to help the school become a college; his every policy was benevolent and well famed, and his nobility was a paradigm like a high mountain and long river.
