Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 化學系研究所 === 105 === The activation and transformation of small-molecule such as N2, NO2, O2, CO, H2, or methane gas is an important area of chemical research. Many types of metalloenzymes have well fuction and playe a key role in small-molecule activation. Scientists try to prepare low molecule weight model compounds to mimic and study the detail mechanisms of biological small-molecule activation. Our lab is interesting in model complexes of nickel-containing and copper-containing enzymes.
N, N’-aryl substituted β-diketiminato type ligands can be as sterically crowded spectator ligands to stabilize coordinately unsaturated metal centers in coordination. To explore the coordination chemistry on the bio-inspired nickel and copper compounds, we synthesize a series of N-aryl-N’-alkylpyridyl substituted β-diketiminato nickel and copper complexes and test their reactivity toward to NO2-, O2 and CO. Those complexes have been synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, ESI-MS, and UV-vis spectroscopy as well as single-crystal X-ray diffractometry.
