Subjects of this study are public preschool educators in Pingtung County. Research tool is “questionnaire on relationship between educators’ work stress and instructional effectiveness” of questionnaire survey in census questionnaire. 348 questionnaires are distributed and 293 valid ones are retrieved. Data obtained are analyzed by descriptive statistics, Product-Moment Correlation and multi-regression analysis. Research findings are shown below: 1.Perceived current situation of ‎ public preschool educators’ work stress in Pingtung County is medium and below. 2.Perceived current situation of public preschool educators’ instructional effectiveness in Pingtung County is medium and above. 3.Pingtung County public preschool educators’ background variables show difference in overall work stress. Perceived work stress is the highest for those with the backgrounds below: “aged below 30”, “normal school or education university”, “single”, “less than (including) 5 years” and “both teacher and administration”. 4.‎Pingtung County public preschool educators’ background variables show difference in overall instructional effectiveness. Perceived instructional effectiveness is the highest of those with the following backgrounds: “above 51 years old”, “above (including) graduate school”, “married”, “11~15 years”, “both teacher and administration”. 5.Pingtung County public preschool educators’ work stress is negatively related to instructional effectiveness. 6.Pingtung County public preschool educators’ work stress shows significant predictive power on instructional effectiveness. Among others, the predictive power of “class instruction” is the most significant. According to the previous findings, this study proposes specific suggestions as reference for educational institutions, schools, educators and future related research.
