In this marvellous environment which providesleisure composes the unique atmosphere of metropolitan park, hoping to discussthe correlations between leisure experience and environmental attitudes of tourists in Tainan Metropolitan Park. In this study, a questionnaire survey for TainanMetropolitan Park tourists was taken, using purposive sampling method, and there were 450 copies of questionnaires sent out, 406 valid questionnaires weregathered. Statistical methods include descriptive statistics, factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, independent-samples t-test, Scheffé posterior comparison orTamhane’s T2 test, Pearson production-moment correlation and partial correlation analysis. The results were as follows: 1.different tourists’ demographic variable in leisure experience andenvironmental attitudes has partial dissimilarity on “age”, “education”,and “marriage status”;“elapsed time in the park” is the only demographicvariable which influences the leisure experience. 2.“Monthly income”, “residence”, “background knowledge of ecology” and “ thesource of getting the knowledge of environmental protection” aren’t the factors of leisure experience and environmental attitudes.Among the eco-related variables,“experience in joining eco-related organizations” is most influential toward environmental attitudes. 3.Positive correlations exist obviously between leisure experience and environ- mental attitudes. 4.After controlling “sense”and “thinking and action related”, environmentalcognition is positively correlated with environmental affection and behaviorby using partial correlation. This result showed that tourists without getting leisure experience, the affection devotion of the environment is getting morepositive and obvious with the behavior of environmental protection.
