Based on the theory of planned behavior and the facet of travel risk perception, the research structure of this study builds on behavioral intention of save travel abroad for the middle-aged Adults. A questionnaire survey based upon random sampling has been conducted. A total of 237 valid questionnaires and conducts statistical analysis using descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA and regression analysis, using SPSS 22.0 statistical software as the research tool. The results showed that the safe behavioral intention of middle-aged and older adults’ traveling aboard is positively influenced by attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and perceptual travel risk. Perceptual travel risk is the key element in influencing the decision of middle aged and old persons’ traveling aboard. The total interpretation amount of variability before adding dimension of perceptual travel risk in recycling analysis is 50.4%, while the data adds up to 60.3% after adding dimension of perceptual travel risk. The data shows that risks in traveling will not reduce travel opportunities. The middle aged and old persons will choose safer ways of traveling in consideration of travel risks. The adult who is richer and with better physical condition has higher degree of recognition of attitude and perceptual behavior control; Person with overseas traveling experience has higher degree of recognition of safe overseas traveling than those who without overseas traveling experience. In conclusion, the economy condition and physical condition are two important elements in influencing the safe behavior intention of middle aged and old persons’ traveling aboard.
