The difference between “A commentary regarding Euthanasia and Death with Dignity under the Hospice Palliative Care Regulation Amendment” which passed on 23 May, 2000 is that those amendments will suitable to people who is under infectious diseases, coma, persistent vegetative state, severe dementia and all other diseases which unable to resist. But the truth is, patients’ will always hard to understand when they had set into those situations. However, if patients' condition become quite bad and death is better than live, doctors and family members would make decisions for their patients by themselves. That's means patients might not have choice to express their opinion. Although the article of Patient's Self-determination Right Act had already taken formulation, this bill should rely on three sides, which are patients, family members and medical staffs, common consensus, and also patient's autonomy and right of life. It’s the doctors’ job to heal the illness on people, and maintain the health status. But what will they do without against the patient’s will when their lives comes to the end? This research paper is based on the relation between Medical treatment and patients. And discussing the conflict between patient's Self-determination Right Act and medical treatment in depths. Furthermore, this study would also explore the unlawfulness of medical treatment that violates the patient's will and the relevant civil liability to provide a proper way to the patients.
