The major capabilities of the system include fall detection and indoor position tracking. The effective fall detection method utilizes the accelerometer to collect different fall-down information through a self-designed wearable device and analyze the relation between human postures and accleration values. The wearable device is then embbeded a fall detection program according to the realtion analysis. If the fall situation is happenned, the wearable device sends the falling message to the unit of medical treatment and uploads it to the cloud database. The thesis also reveals the accuracy of judging the fall under various human angles, as well as the interference of radio frequency signals caused by obstacles in the indoor environment. An indoor position tracking method utilizes the Bluetooth signals between the wearable device and signal receiving points to calculate the human position and record the history of human positions to the cloud database. The experiment results show that the accuracy rate of 98% for detecting a human fall and the accuracy rate of 85% for position tracking.
