Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄餐旅大學 === 餐旅研究所在職專班 === 105 === The eating habit of people nowadays have been changing due to social change, which leads the booming of baking industry and the huge requirement in manpower and baking techniques.The purpose of this study is to explore the motivation of vocational high school baking contestants who participate in the baking skills training and students’ achievement and their development of soft skill after training. Qualitative approach and in-depth interview were conducted in the study, with a total of seven participants who were baking contestants that participated in the baking skills training during their vocational high school learning period. By analyzing the motivation and baking skills training of vocational high school baking contestants concluding their developing identities of professional skills and soft skills, and integrating concepts of competence demonstrating, the study outcome were found: 1) building up stages for the students by contestant training, 2) current situations of baking skill training, 3) abilities that developed by contestant training, and 4) embedded demonstrating the skill with initiative by choosing different career paths. The study's conclusion and recommendations could be helpful to the people who are going to enter the field of baking industry in the future, and were provided as the reference of follow-up study for academy and the pactioners in baking industry.
